1971 MERCEDES BENZ 280SL Roadster - $Inquire
280SE 4.jpg (79100 bytes)

The car apparently, has never seen inclimate weather. As you know, the best of these cars were prone to some rust, and this is the dryest one I have ever seen, even California cars. It's all original except the nose of the car was painted somewhere,(I can't find the blend marks) from a bump into her garage wall. All the body panels on this car are super straight and ding/dent free. Notice the undercarriage and the wheel wells were never undercoated, and are completely virgin. It is the right color combo for this car. Put a hard detail on this car and ask $100K for it. The interior is near perfect and original, the spare was used once or twice, but is original and as new. Books, tools, radio works, air blows cold. The car has the original dark green soft top, the carpets and pads are great, the glass and chrome are original and very good, new michelins. The metal wells behind the seats are if, as new. (they almost always hold moisture and begin to rot) The car hadn't been started in 6 months and fired up on the first crank. Runs, drives, shifts and brakes great.
